Staff engineer and team lead - building products end to end, from technical design to delivery.

I'm a software engineer with over fifteen years of experience building and shipping production systems. I've spent most of my career at the intersection of hands-on development and technical leadership - defining architecture, leading feature delivery, and making sure teams move in the right direction.

Right now I'm deep in AI - building automated translation pipelines, content quality validators, and tooling that investigates, generates reports, and notifies before humans need to ask. Before that I led frontend teams at Datadog and Twilio, drove a Python-to-Go migration, and shipped microservices at Vodafone and Smartbox.

I care about the space between code and people - building trusted relationships between engineering, product, and design, coaching junior engineers, and removing obstacles so the team can focus on work that matters.

Away from the keyboard

Saturday mornings start with a Park Run - rain or shine, no excuses. The rest of the week runs on espresso from a Barista Pro, where half the fun is dialling in new beans every month.

I like books. I try to mix genres - biographies, investigations, and professional development are what I keep coming back to.

Strong advocate for remote work. Being able to spend those extra hours with family instead of commuting changed everything, and I'll make the case for it whenever I can.
